The State Copyright Bureau, State Internet Information Office, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and Ministry of Public Security collaborated in establishing the “Clean Net 2016” special action, which has reached a successful end. They have reported 21 typical online piracy cases. During the special action, 514 administrative cases have been investigated, 4.67million RMB of administrative penalties, 33 cases were transferred to the judicial offices, involving 200 million RMB of value, closure of 290 websites; there were crackdowns of online literature piracy, private cinema, APP and online advertisement union, etc.; advancement of early warning mechanism, announcement of 7 batches of warning list containing total 284 key tv/film productions; handled total 31 influential piracy cases in 4 batches; strengthen the ties with the social organizations, elaborate the legal rights protection initiatives of the association, the league, and all rights holders.
